The guest found a restful city-center retreat, with exceptionally comfortable bedding and personal greetings from staff. The Club Lounge stood out for its excellent team and generous, appealing food offerings, making the hotel a new favorite.

The guest liked the beautiful hotel, location, staff, stylish bar and cocktails. Their clean, chic room was a good size with strong water pressure, but the glass sliding bathroom door provided little sound privacy; the bath/shower window did have a privacy setting. Much worse was poor sound insulation between rooms: conversations from both sides were audible, prompting two calls on Saturday even though the neighbors did not seem unusually loud. At this price, the guest would not return because of the noise.

A birthday weekend at The Langham brought a very clean, spacious room with luxurious details. The guest especially enjoyed a spa massage and Club Lounge access, where staff remembered their name and preferences. Breakfast, afternoon snacks and evening wine made the lounge a feature they would recommend.

On a family birthday trip, the guests appreciated walking access to major sights and nearby restaurants. Staff welcomed their young children with bears, lidded lounge cups and access on request to a playroom with toys, books and art materials. Club Lounge breakfasts, snacks and an afternoon candy display were especially useful with children, and they would choose lounge access again.

The guest continued to rate Langham Chicago among the city’s best luxury hotels for its hospitality, service and beautifully appointed, pristine rooms, lobby and spa. Nearby restaurants, bars, live music, theaters, museums, the riverwalk and lakefront made the location particularly useful.
