The guest felt the stay fell short of five-star expectations through repeated communication and service failures. A pre-arrival request to confirm the reservation went unanswered even after checkout. They waited almost two hours in the nearby restaurant without the promised room-ready text, then learned the room had been available for some time. Breakfast credits, an amenity, a possible upgrade and late-checkout arrangements associated with their Fora booking were not explained until they asked. An apology bottle of champagne arrived only about an hour before departure two days later. Their clean, comfortable room had no upgrade, faced a busy, noisy street and contained a broken bedside drawer left partly open, which they repeatedly bumped into. At lunch, white wine was limited to three choices and cocktails to a small list because the full bar did not open until 3 p.m. during that visit. The bar closed at 11 p.m.; returning at 11:01 p.m., they were refused a nightcap after last call, with no offer to order drinks for their room. They found the cumulative lapses and lack of attention disappointing for the price and positioning.
