Advisor stayed overnight

During five nights at Kimpton EPIC in May 2025, all three rooms in the advisor's booking were upgraded to one-bedroom suites. The living areas were generous, but the bedrooms had little space around the bed. The advisor hit their head on a hanging television while trying to reach the wardrobe. Floor-to-ceiling windows and two balconies gave attractive water and Brickell views, although traffic noise exposed weak soundproofing. The promised room-ready message did not arrive before normal check-in; a later message asked about the room when the advisor had not yet received it. Welcome amenities arrived at different times, one was different and the requested personal note was missing. Lunch disappointed in both food and service. À-la-carte breakfast was good, but the included $30 daily allowance per person might not cover everything ordered; there was no buffet. At checkout, breakfast and the $100 food-and-beverage credit had not been applied to the bills. Staff corrected this without difficulty when asked. The hotel met the trip's basic needs, but the advisor would warn clients about these service issues.
