The returning guests enjoyed Cibolo Moon’s plentiful breakfast, relaxed pool days and watching sports at Velocity. They were unhappy with changes they attributed to new management during their visit: charges including parking, restrictions on outside pool snacks, no upgrades without payment and no special recognition for regular guests.

The family found parking easy and check-in quick, with Texas-inspired décor and comfortable rather than exceptional rooms. Helpful staff supplied welcome snacks, small toys at breakfast and a pizza-making visit for the children. Water slides, pools and a small sandy entry were favorites, alongside s’mores, bingo, duck decorating and racing, arcade games and other indoor games. They liked a steak dinner at 18 Oaks overlooking the golf course and the sports bar during rain. The guest considered it particularly suitable for families, golfers and conferences, and suggested nearby caverns and safari attractions as possible outings.

Both the four-year-old and twelve-year-old loved the lazy river; the older child favored the slides, and the younger the sandy beach and activity pool. It felt strongly geared toward families and the water park, with crowds, screaming children and even scooters in the restaurant during dinner. A spa day pass and its quieter private pool were the saving grace. The guest thought the property could suit a family vacation far better.
