Following a June 2026 stay and inspection, the advisor felt Hotel d’Inghilterra combined a personal Roman welcome with a convenient location near the Spanish Steps and Via Condotti. The renovation, completed in September 2024 according to the report, retained historic character while introducing bright wood floors alongside rich fabrics and marble bathrooms. Individually designed rooms included original painted doors on the top floor. Entry rooms were small; the advisor considered a Junior Suite or higher worthwhile for more space. Staff quickly remembered guests, and an evening Buona Notte pillow was a particularly thoughtful touch. Comfortable lounges, rooftop aperitifs and summer café tables on the cobbled street gave several places to linger. The changing tower of homemade breakfast pastries and a Thai massage in the small spa were highlights. The one practical disappointment was shower water that never became as hot as desired. The advisor especially recommended the hotel to couples and honeymooners seeking a welcoming base with a strong sense of Rome.
