A June 2026 Nam Hai stay impressed the advisor with excellent family facilities, children’s activities and a beautiful spa with lagoon-side treatment pavilions. The room’s dramatic Vietnamese design and large platform bed stood out, while staff were consistently kind and eager to help. The major disappointment was the beach: sand and water did not feel as pristine as at other Southeast Asian luxury destinations the advisor knew. The striking tiered pools were the stronger focus for relaxation during this visit.

At an October 2024 inspection and lunch at Nam Hai, the advisor was less impressed by the rooms than expected. Dark interiors and steps down to a centrally positioned bed were the main concerns. The property’s conversion from an earlier brand shaped their impression. A useful advantage was the shuttle into Hoi An, described as about fifteen minutes, for guests wanting to explore town repeatedly.
