During a February 2026 stay at Four Seasons Osaka, the advisor admired the city views from the pool and spa, especially after dark. Service was exceptional and the breakfast buffet extensive. The on-site omakase restaurant was one of the trip’s highlights, with advance reservations needed. The comfortable room included thoughtful extras such as pajamas available to borrow during the stay. A convenient location for exploring Osaka added to the advisor’s strong recommendation.

Of three Four Seasons stays in Japan in February 2025, Osaka was the advisor’s least favorite, despite loving the city. The location among other high-rises was practical by taxi, but the room felt cramped and lacked the personal housekeeping touches experienced in Tokyo and Kyoto. Bar Bota was a clear exception, with excellent views, snacks, cocktails, mocktails and attentive bartending. Breakfast was also excellent, including a packed meal for an early departure. The pool and bathing area were pleasant but less memorable than at the other hotels. Jiang Nan Chun disappointed despite its beautiful setting: it was the most expensive meal of the week, with some lukewarm dishes and uneven timing. The advisor acknowledged that other diners seemed to have enjoyed it more. Concierge advice about aquarium tickets failed to mention a roughly 25-minute ticket queue followed by another ninety minutes before timed entry. The advisor would have preferred help securing advance tickets, especially for a family outing. Obtaining coordinated quotes for all three hotels had also taken several customer-service contacts before becoming straightforward. The advisor would consider Osaka for convenience and brand familiarity, but advised families to request a larger room.
