The guest admired the warm contemporary design and kind staff, but repeatedly found restaurant service too slow, sometimes waiting an hour at Itzam. Dinner felt overcomplicated rather than the comforting Mexican cooking they wanted. Food quality disappointed for the prices and service charges; coffee was reportedly available only until 11. Beach tacos, the gym and a tarot session were positives, but did not offset the poor dining value.

Although told the resort was fully booked, the guests felt they had plenty of space. They praised the service, food, particularly breakfast at Itzam, and relaxing spa. The overall design and atmosphere felt beautiful and restful.

The guests loved the room, architecture, beach, spa, facilities and staff. Their one frustration was having to reserve dinner rather than eat spontaneously at their own hotel. Otherwise, they considered it a very good getaway.

The family enjoyed the modern, stylish design and comfortable, thoughtfully considered surroundings. Staff were particularly kind and accommodating with their one-year-old child. Food and drinks also impressed.

The guests praised an exceptionally spacious room, attentive service, the pool and spa. However, the beach setup did not suit the swimming holiday they expected; they had to walk away from the hotel to swim and spent most of their stay at the pool. They liked the main restaurant but found the Japanese restaurant disappointing. These issues reduced their overall assessment despite strong hospitality.
