The guests found their room and bathroom large and attractively finished. Strawberries, cookies and wine welcomed them at check-in, and service was excellent throughout. They would strongly recommend the hotel.

The guests liked the warm service, historic character and Petit Champlain location near museums, shops, restaurants and cobbled streets. Their low-floor Comfort King River View room, however, looked tired and was noisy above street level. Traffic and a persistent snowplough made sleeping difficult. After they told reception, staff moved them to a much quieter room higher up. Restaurant food was delicious, though service was slow; on a cold day, they did not mind lingering.
