Advisor stayed overnight
Reported visit · May 2025
During two May 2025 nights at Mount Nelson, the advisor enjoyed an elegant but unpretentious oasis in central Cape Town. The private cottage, about a minute from the main building, was spacious and had a quiet backyard terrace. Main-building rooms seen during the visit were also generously sized, with different garden views. Other buildings were not inspected, so the advisor recommended confirming room placement. Staff were warm and familiar, a terrace dinner was excellent, and breakfast overlooking the pool and gardens was a highlight. The adjacent fine-dining restaurant was not tried. The gym was divided among three rooms, making it feel smaller and poorly lit; the advisor chose outdoor hiking instead. Access to Lion's Head and Table Mountain was convenient. The hotel appealed for couples and multigenerational families alike.
