On a September 2024 Montage Big Sky trip with three families and very young children, the advisor appreciated welcome toys, small slippers and a play tent in the suite. Bowling, the pool, hot tubs and evening s’mores entertained the group, and Wildflower pastries were a daily highlight. A Gallatin River picnic and Riverhouse BBQ proved easier with infants than a long Yellowstone outing, which was beautiful but better suited to older children. The town was quiet during shoulder season. Thoughtful family service and a distinctive gift shop made the advisor strongly recommend the resort for multigenerational travel.

A July 2024 Montage Big Sky stay delighted the advisor with a wonderful suite, strong family appeal and helpful car service around town. The advisor enthusiastically recommended summer stays based on that experience, without having visited in winter. Most of the attraction lay in outdoor adventures and the resort itself, since the town offered relatively little to do.
