During a September 2026 stay and inspection at Mandarin Oriental Savoy Zurich, the advisor found the central shopping location, good breakfast and rooftop views particularly appealing for a one- or two-night visit. Their Junior Suite was spacious and bright, with a living area, Diptyque products and effective air conditioning. In-room check-in was a welcome personal touch. Some outside noise was audible at night, which mattered for light sleepers. There was no spa at that time, an important limitation for guests prioritizing wellness. The advisor also noted category-specific hair-styling amenities: suites had Dyson equipment, while a Dyson hairdryer could be requested in lower categories. Overall, they recommended the hotel as a polished base in the middle of Zurich's activity.

Following a March 2024 tour and brasserie dinner at Mandarin Oriental Savoy Zurich, the advisor found the staff genuine and helpful, but the newly opened team not yet smoothly coordinated. They hoped this would improve with time. The Bahnhofstrasse shopping location, nearby old town and historic views were strong points. Room layouts varied, and the Presidential Suite overlooking Paradeplatz was particularly striking. Windows seemed well insulated, although the advisor wondered whether trams might still be audible in front-facing rooms; this was a concern rather than an overnight observation. There was no onsite garage, and cars had to be taken to parking farther away. Dinner was acceptable, with the main course unremarkable. The rooftop bar had not yet opened. Overall, the advisor saw potential in the location while noting early operational weaknesses.
