A March 2026 Lovango family stay and inspection suited the advisor’s taste for outdoor adventure with high-end comfort rather than a manicured Caribbean resort. Five shared a cosy one-bedroom Ocean View Deluxe Villa: children used the enclosed porch sleeping area, with an extra air mattress in the main bedroom for the third child, while the wraparound terrace was the standout. Hilly paths, treehouses, tents and an outdoor-style gym reinforced the nature-focused atmosphere; golf carts helped with the terrain. Day guests at the beach club and pool caused no crowding problem during the visit. Food was very good but expensive, and the first dinner was painfully slow despite friendly staff. Ferries made St. John and St. Thomas outings possible, but activity and boat service wound down around 9 p.m., limiting nightlife. The advisor recommended matching it carefully to active couples or adventurous families rather than everyone.

Professional working relationship

For a late Lovango booking with limited availability, the resort exceptionally agreed to accommodate two parents and three young-adult children in one Ocean View Luxury Treehouse. Clients found the interior tight, but the large terrace and indoor and outdoor showers helped. They loved the cleanliness, views, welcoming owners and warm staff, while noting substantial practical limits. A flight delay caused them to miss the scheduled ferry, leaving a choice of waiting over two hours or paying $400 for a private boat. There was no on-demand water taxi; island outings needed planning. Guests could not drive carts or ATVs themselves, although staff provided rides and deliveries on request. Televisions were only at the bar. Access to the small rocky beach and sandy cove involved a path. Cabanas needed advance booking; otherwise only three beach chairs were available. There was no beach restaurant, but food could be delivered. The casual restaurant had limited hours and the main dining option was expensive. After seven days, the clients felt five would have suited them better. They loved the experience but preferred a previous Nayara Tented Camp stay and cautioned that Lovango would not fit everyone's idea of luxury.
