After a January 2026 stay and inspection during an advisor retreat, the advisor felt La Mamounia justified its reputation. Its setting near the medina combined access to Marrakech’s history and activity with the facilities of a large resort rather than a small riad. Extensive grounds included gardens, a pool, clay tennis courts, several restaurants and an excellent spa. Rooms blended Moroccan character with modern comforts; the advisor particularly valued terraces overlooking the gardens. They saw it as especially appealing for couples or groups. Few children were present, and it did not feel particularly oriented toward families with younger children.
