A May 2025 visit to Kimpton Grand Roatán highlighted its waterfront position in West Bay, with an especially attractive beach and clear water just outside. The advisor liked the relaxed beach bar and grill for lunch or a frozen drink. Dinner at Alera was another positive experience, with delicious food and excellent service.

During an April 2025 stay and inspection, the advisor found Kimpton Grand Roatan’s compact West Bay beachfront setting easy to navigate, with excellent snorkelling directly offshore and consistently friendly service. The spacious Ocean View Roatan Suite paired a king bed and queen sofa bed separated by a partial wall, with a generous bathroom, soaking tub and rain shower. Villas with kitchens, rear canopy bungalows and a few spa-building suites offered alternatives. The pool, gym, games room and atmospheric spa grounds were highlights. Alera’s breakfast buffet impressed, especially made-to-order eggs, waffles, coffee and green juice; Vos, The Drop Off and beachfront Sea Cat supplied different dining moods. A resort fee applied, with then-included morning coffee, evening social hour, yoga, kayaks, paddleboards, snorkel equipment and West End shuttles. Poolside water, sun protection and small snacks were helpful touches. The advisor saw broad appeal for couples, families, groups and events, with accessible accommodation options also noted.
