Reported visit · August 2026
The advisor’s family of four found JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa a strong summer option during an August 2026 stay. Its separate island meant trading a central address for pools, a playground and room to recover after morning sightseeing. Air-conditioned indoor space was especially welcome in the heat. Their booked Family Premium King was upgraded through Marriott status to a larger suite that comfortably accommodated two rollaway beds; they had not tested the smaller original category. The San Marco shuttle took around fifteen to twenty minutes and ran twice hourly, making three nights or more preferable to a rushed two-night stop. A kids’ club carried a small additional charge, although the family did not use it. Private water taxis cost them €180 from the airport and €110 to the station, and a direct Murano taxi saved time. The main drawback was the heavy mosquito presence in August.

Reported visit · June 2025
During a June 2025 stay at JW Marriott Venice, the advisor praised the peaceful gardens, spa and lagoon views on Isola delle Rose, away from the city crowds. A complimentary boat connected the island with St. Mark's Square. Their spacious Junior Suite had a very large balcony overlooking greenery, which made a pleasant place to unwind. Modern rooms, the rooftop bar, pools and excellent service added to the appeal. The advisor saw the resort as suitable for couples and families seeking a quieter setting for a Venice visit.
