Reported visit · April 2025
After two nights at JOALI BEING in April 2025, the advisor was impressed by privacy, attentive service and the depth of the wellness offering. Arrival included a comfortable Malé seaplane lounge with showers, refreshments and a children’s playroom. A wellness consultation was included, with discussions of personal goals rather than just choosing treatments. The extensive spa, large gym, yoga at The Nest and private reformer Pilates stood out. Vegan, meat and fish kitchen concepts helped accommodate different preferences. The advisor described personalized bikes, beach and overwater villas with one to four bedrooms, nearby diving and a Japanese restaurant with a large sake selection, recommending bookings two weeks ahead. At that time there was no minimum stay, alongside five-, seven- and ten-day programs; alcohol was available and villa televisions could be requested despite the emphasis on unplugging. Families were welcomed with a personalized kids’ club and arrival gifts, but the advisor would choose JOALI Maldives for most families because BEING felt quieter and more wellness-focused. For couples, the choice depended on desired wellness and social activity. They valued the feeling of having the island almost to themselves.
