Advisor stayed overnight
Reported visit · June 2025
During a June 2025 family stay at Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort Fiji, the advisor felt the people and cultural welcome mattered as much as the setting. Staff quickly learned the family’s names and shared village visits, kava, basket weaving, a lovo meal and evening torch rituals. The family also completed scuba training with patient instructors, beginning in the pool and moving into open water; the account described full courses for ages ten and above. Many cultural and water activities were included in their rate. Set meal times offered local dishes, an all-day comfort-food menu and vegan choices. Despite full occupancy, hammocks, quiet corners and separate adult and family areas preserved a peaceful feel. Personal service, including an impromptu waterside lunch, made the advisor eager to return.
