Advisor stayed overnight
Reported visit · May 2025
During a May 2025 stay accompanying a family member at a work conference, the advisor found InterContinental Malta comfortable and well suited to business. Its busy St Julian’s entertainment-district location, near bars and nightclubs, led them to advise against it for family holidays. The hotel was clean but felt dark, somewhat dated and short on character. Sky Beach’s rooftop pool had lovely views and good food and drinks, although service was very slow. A second pool was closed for an event; its loungers looked tired and the towels looked dirty. Reception seemed overwhelmed and was not particularly helpful, which the advisor thought might reflect the large conference. An excellent spa massage and mini facial, a good meal at Paranga and pizza on an outdoor deck were highlights. The small beach club had about twenty loungers on a busy harbor beach surrounded by traffic and construction, offering little peace during that visit.
