Advisor stayed overnight
Reported visit · April 2026
An April 2026 Hotel Alfonso XIII stay brought the advisor excellent service, a large comfortable room and a superb first-visit Seville location. The historic lobby and public details were beautiful, and windows kept tram noise out effectively. The room design, however, felt dated and generic, while breakfast, bar food and room service were merely adequate for the advisor, though a child enjoyed breakfast. The property did not feel uniformly ultra-luxurious beyond its grand common spaces. For this three-person trip, the price and full services worked well; pricing for four would have felt poor value. The advisor saw it as a good fit for historic-hotel lovers, with Gravina 51 potentially better for boutique neighbourhood character and Mercer for more contemporary design. The Mercer impression concerned its striking but somewhat cold public spaces, which did not seem child-friendly to the advisor; its rooms were not inspected.
