Advisor stayed overnight
Reported visit · January 2026
During a January 2026 birthday stay at Goldener Hirsch, the advisor experienced excellent personal service but a sharp contrast between the two sides of the hotel. The upgraded Inn suite was dark, dated and uncomfortable, without the hoped-for fireplace or four-poster bed. Its bed spoiled two nights despite a first-night price of $2,400. Moving to the modern side brought a large, comfortable room with a tub, steam shower and kitchenette; a turndown knock around 9 p.m. disturbed the guests after they had gone to sleep. Food was exceptional, especially fondue and morning croissants. The Deer Valley village location was a short walk from the lift, with stairs on the route, but Park City town required a shuttle. At checkout, breakfast charges had not been removed and the $100 booking credit had not been applied. Both were corrected when the advisor asked. The advisor would recommend the hotel, but would avoid the Inn side in the condition experienced.
