Advisor stayed overnight
Reported visit · June 2026
On a third stay at Four Seasons Lanai in June 2026, the advisor again enjoyed combining the beach resort with higher, cooler Sensei, having tried both orders. The Nobu menus differed, and the beach resort’s limited-seat teppanyaki was a favorite worth reserving early. The beach never seemed crowded, and walks and nearby hikes were enjoyable. The advisor did not usually swim in the ocean and found the surf too rough for that preference. Golf was expensive but offered remarkable views; nine holes in the afternoon reduced the cost, with access then restricted to guests of either resort. Yoga and meditation instructors were excellent, though the program was less extensive than Sensei’s. The telescope astronomy activity was full before the advisor could book it. Staff across departments were consistently exceptional. The advisor would happily combine both resorts again, with advance reservations for specific experiences.
Advisor site inspection
Reported visit · January 2025
During a January 2025 inspection of Four Seasons Lanai, the advisor liked the quiet island, lush grounds and choice of beach, golf and family activities. The setting suited switching off rather than busy shopping or nightlife. Family accommodation was expensive: for two adults and two children, the lowest suitable category described was an Ohana Suite, while connecting alternatives used external rather than direct internal room connections. Buildings were spread across the grounds, and the public beach was reached by a descending paved path. Beach staff assisted with loungers, water and snorkeling equipment. The source described complimentary roundtrip flights between Honolulu and Lanai, island transportation and laundry as benefits at that time, plus breakfast for two with an allowance of $48 per person per day. Laundry took longer during the visit because it was being processed off-island following a facility fire. The complimentary club for ages five to twelve required advance booking; golf access was limited to guests of the two Four Seasons resorts. The advisor actually saw whales from near the beach path. For longer stays, dining in town or at Sensei offered variety beyond the resort’s four outlets.
