For three September 2025 nights at Four Seasons Sultanahmet, the advisor liked the intimate 65-room feel and excellent service. The busy historic location worked especially well for first-time visitors wanting nearby access to Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and old-city sights without repeated traffic delays. Courtyard or Hagia Sophia-facing rooms were preferred over outlooks onto less attractive neighboring buildings. Comfortable rooms, enjoyable Japanese dining and a well-served breakfast impressed. Complimentary car and boat shuttle arrangements to the Bosphorus sister hotel expanded the experience during the stay. Couples and newcomers to Istanbul seemed the best fit.

During an April 2025 stay and inspection, the advisor found Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at Sultanahmet an intimate, recently refreshed base in the old city. Most rooms overlooked the pleasant courtyard, while selected suites offered striking Hagia Sophia views. Service was highly attentive. Dining, bars and a seasonal rooftop provided variety, but the spa, gym and hammam were all very small, albeit carefully presented. The advisor particularly liked it for first-time sightseeing and suggested combining it with the Bosphorus property for a more resort-like part of the trip.
