Traveling with their son, the guest loved a large Signature Bay View room and its bathtub. They felt safe in the hilltop neighborhood, enjoyed walking downhill to cafés and riding cable cars, and found room dining excellent during jet lag. Friendly staff and historic character made the hotel feel welcoming.

The guests enjoyed friendly staff and excellent valet service, but their room was small. The separately operated gym did not allow their older children because they were under fifteen. A welcome treat arrived addressed to someone else, an amusing but noticeable mistake.
