Advisor site inspection

Reported visit · July 2026

On a July 2026 inspection of Faena New York, the advisor enjoyed the bold red interiors, sweeping curves, chandeliers and animal imagery. The striking style was a matter of taste rather than an obvious fit for everyone. High Line views and people-watching were particular pleasures, as were the lively social scene and memorable art, including a large Keith Haring installation noted in the hallway. The main bar impressed, while access to a hidden bar required an invitation. A theater was still described as forthcoming later that year. The advisor liked the hotel as a distinctive art and social experience.

Advisor site inspection

Reported visit · October 2025

During an October 2025 inspection soon after Faena New York opened, the advisor liked the bright, quiet interiors, high ceilings and spacious modern bathrooms in gallery-filled West Chelsea. Different suite layouts mattered: a One Bedroom had a closable bedroom and walk-in wardrobe, while the Junior Suite had a separating wall. Rollaways and some family arrangements were discussed during the tour. Higher-floor outlooks included the Hudson or High Line. The Crystal Suite had a balcony, while the large three-bedroom Presidential Suite had a substantial terrace and one bedroom reached by stairs. The Living Room’s live music and bookable event spaces suggested a hotel intended as a destination for locals as well as visitors. Breakfast at La Boca was a highlight. The screening theater was nearly ready and the spa was planned for 2026, so the inspection reflected an early opening stage rather than fully operating facilities.
