By August 2025, the advisor had been returning to Conrad Los Angeles roughly quarterly for a year and considered it a favorite for luxury business stays. Clients sent there had also reported very positive experiences. Immaculate rooms and public spaces, unusually comfortable beds and large modern bathrooms were particular strengths. Restaurant prices were high, so the breakfast and property credit included with the advisor’s bookings were especially valuable. Downtown worked well for business or theater plans. The advisor described the surrounding streets as gritty rather than unsafe, and was more cautious about recommending the location to first-time Los Angeles visitors unfamiliar with the area, despite loving the hotel itself.

During a December 2023 stay at Conrad Los Angeles, the advisor admired Frank Gehry’s architecture opposite Walt Disney Concert Hall. The downtown setting suited business and architecture-focused visits, with Chinatown also within walking distance. A Studio King offered mountain and Hollywood-sign views and convenient controls for blinds and lights. Check-in and dining were on the tenth floor. Breakfast and dinner at San Laurel were excellent; Agua Viva and the indoor-outdoor Beaudry Room offered further options. The attractive pool went unused because the weather was cool. The advisor described breakfast for two, a $100 hotel credit, flexible arrival/departure times and a possible upgrade under the historical Impresario program; those observations do not establish benefits for every booking. Airport transfer times were highly dependent on traffic.
