After nine nights at COMO Maalifushi in December 2025, the advisor found it difficult to leave. The journey involved about an hour by seaplane. A welcome drink, island tour, effortless check-in and an upgrade from a beach villa to an overwater pool villa made a strong first impression. Food was excellent and the staff friendly, with a relaxed pace the advisor enjoyed. The butler was sometimes slow or unavailable, however, and said a requested class cancellation had been made when it had not. The advisor felt the mistake should have been acknowledged; a later tour of other villas helped make amends. Snorkeling on the house reef and a separate boat excursion were outstanding. A complimentary massage, attractive spa, adequate gym and padel court added variety. One staff member kindly shared hundreds of island sunset photographs after noticing the advisor’s interest. Booking and prearrival communication were excellent. The advisor remembered an exceptionally relaxing stay while retaining those criticisms of the butler service.
