The guests liked the spacious clubhouse, lawn for children, shared firepit, distant water views and direct Shining Sea bike-path access. But the premium Airstream they expected to have a prime view was first assigned in a rear corner beside construction. It smelled of sewage, appeared unvacuumed and had a rubbish-filled outdoor firepit. A second unit smelled better but was also dirty inside and out. Sofa-bed linen was inadequate: only a pillowcase, one flat sheet and a blanket, with no fitted sheets available after they requested another sheet. The supplied sheets were stained. Late at night they initially thought the stain small and positioned it at the end to get their child to sleep; in the morning they discovered stains across the bedding. The units also showed scratches, staining and poor maintenance. They felt the stay did not match the advertised luxury or justify the price, describing it as old Airstream camping in a pleasant setting. They praised the assistant manager for taking the concerns seriously, providing a full refund and sending a thoughtful follow-up note.
