Advisor site inspection
Reported visit · March 2023
From a March 2023 visit, the advisor described Amanoi as a peaceful hillside retreat above Vinh Hy Bay in Nui Chua National Park. Cam Ranh was around a 90-minute drive away; they also mentioned hotel-arranged helicopter and boat alternatives. Pavilion interiors were broadly similar, with location, views, terraces and pools determining the choice; larger multibedroom residences added separate living and dining space. Indicative nightly prices then began around $800 for pavilions, $1,000 for pool pavilions, $1,500 for ocean pool pavilions and $3,500 for residences. The spa, gym, yoga pavilion, library, boutique, infinity pool and separate beach-club pool broadened the facilities. Included nonmotorized watersports could not be tried because of strong winds. Hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, cycling, yoga, meditation, cooking and cultural outings were also described. Complimentary afternoon tea from 3:30–4:30 p.m. included fruit, sweets and Vietnamese dishes. The main restaurant served Vietnamese and international food with indoor and sea-view terrace seating, while the beach club was more casual. Room service and special private dining carried additional charges. Nearby villages and park excursions appealed, but the advisor’s strongest impression was of natural beauty and an easy place to stay put.
