A July 2026 Aman Rosa Alpina stay disappointed the advisor relative to other Amans and Dolomites hotels. San Cassiano was charming, but the hotel’s decor felt sterile and insufficiently connected to the region. Several room categories seemed very similar; older-wing rooms could be dark, with small windows and no balconies. Overcomplicated controls caused problems, including an overnight automatic toilet flush and a steam shower that would not start. Service and food were excellent, families were well catered for, and the public spa, gym and evening lounge music were strengths. Treatments themselves were less impressive, and the grill restaurant’s bland background music disappointed. The advisor found the rooms and pool lacked the scenic outlooks they wanted. The attractive facilities did not fully compensate for the lack of character.
