On an April 2026 stay at Alila Villas Uluwatu, the advisor loved the beautiful, secluded setting and excellent spa, considering it a good place to begin a Bali trip before more active exploring. Rideshares were available for outings into Uluwatu. The experience nevertheless fell short in some details at this price, especially compared with Mandapa on the same trip. Repeated service charges felt substantial, dining service was slow, and only two restaurants seemed limiting given the location, although both Mediterranean and Indonesian food were delicious. Turndown could come as late as almost 9 p.m., awkward when settling in after dinner. They still recommended the property with those expectations clearly set.
