The guest found the concierge team less welcoming than expected at check-in and felt overlooked in the lobby unless they approached the desk. Their room's air-conditioning unit squeaked. Restaurant staff, however, were excellent, and the setting and architectural details impressed them.

The guests were deeply disappointed. They liked the location and lobby but noted steep routes to shops and sights. Rooms felt very dated and small for the price, and breakfast was basic. At a celebration dinner on the bar terrace, chicken and vegetable gyoza were unpalatable, and cheese ravioli arrived instead of the described aubergine pasta. Fish and pumpkin soup were acceptable, with steak the strongest dish, but food generally arrived insufficiently hot and lacked taste and presentation. Three of the five guests reported severe illness they described as food poisoning after dinner and suspected a link to the meal. They told the manager but felt the concern was not addressed. They would not recommend it.
