The family enjoyed a spacious renovated Deluxe Garden One-Bedroom Suite with a full kitchen, dining and living areas, an extra half-bath and a long balcony. Daily cleaning was adequate and the fridge was replenished with water, soft drinks and beer. Reception helped with extra supplies and a faulty safe. Most staff were friendly and engaged with the children, although a few were slow or unwelcoming; the family also tipped generously for good service. Food was tasty and varied rather than exceptional, with useful children's menus and no difficulty ordering several dishes. They liked the drinks, particularly the beach bar's rum punch. Truck Stops suited family dinners beside the playground, and Fish Deck offered flavorful food and atmosphere. Black Rock was good, but the extra-cost filet and lobster were not worth it to them. The children's center provided shade and kind staff with painting and games, but its opening was poorly signposted and they wanted more activities. The new playground suited young children. Daytime activities and the pool and beach DJs were enjoyable, although some activities seemed to be abandoned too quickly when participation was low. Evening dancing, a fire show and family films impressed them; entertainment generally ran around 8–10pm rather than creating a late-night party scene. Grace Bay's clear, warm water was the main attraction. The children enjoyed kayaking among the included water activities, and the family also saw paddleboarding. The nearby bar was convenient. Beach chairs and umbrellas were usable but might need replacement in coming years. The clean, warm pool was adequate; its bar was less impressive than Blue Haven's. They saw Alexandra as a friendly, compact four-star-style resort rather than five-star luxury. Their package also included the sister property, where they stayed and found better food, but they preferred Alexandra's beach access and welcoming social atmosphere and intend to return.
